O controle Repeater é usado para exibir uma lista repetida de itens que estão vinculados ao controle. O controle Repeater pode ser ligado a uma tabela de banco de dados, um arquivo XML, ou de outra lista de itens. Aqui vamos mostrar como vincular um arquivo XML para um controle Repeater.
Nós vamos usar o seguinte arquivo XML em nossos exemplos ("cdcatalog.xml") :

Primeiro, importe o "System.Data" namespace. Precisamos desse namespace para trabalhar com objetos DataSet. Inclua a seguinte diretiva na parte superior de uma página .aspx:

O conteúdo do <HeaderTemplate> elemento são processados em primeiro lugar e apenas uma vez dentro da saída, então o conteúdo do <ItemTemplate> elemento são repetidos para cada "record" no DataSet e, por último, o conteúdo do <FooterTemplate> elemento são prestados, uma vez dentro da saída:
