Definition and Usage
The type property returns which type of form element the slider control is.
In the example above, Internet Explorer 9 and earlier versions will return "text", instead of "range". Internet Explorer 10 (and newer), Firefox, Opera, Chrome and Safari will always return "range" for a slider control.
Browser Support
The type property is supported in all major browsers.
Note: The <input type="range"> element is not supported in Internet Explorer 9 and earlier versions.
