The following code fragment loads "books_cdata.xml" into xmlDoc and deletes some characters (the "<b>" tag) from the text node of the first <html> element:

Definition and Usage

The deleteData() method deletes data from a CDATA node.

Syntax

CDATANode.deleteData(start,length)
Parameter Description
start Required. Specifies where to begin removing characters. Start value starts at zero
length Required. Specifies how many characters to delete
