تعريف واستخدام

وبالخاصية font-size ضبط يعطيك تحكما أفضل من حجم الخط عند أول الخط المحدد غير متوفر.

عندما خط غير متوفر، يستخدم المتصفح الخط المحدد الثانية. هذا يمكن أن يؤدي إلى تغيير كبير بالنسبة لحجم الخط. لمنع هذا، استخدم بالخاصية font-size ضبط.

جميع الخطوط لها "aspect value" وهو فارق الحجم بين الحرف الصغير "x" وحرف كبير "X" .

عندما يعرف متصفح "aspect value" للخط الأول المحدد، يمكن للمتصفح معرفة ما حجم الخط لاستخدامها عند عرض النص مع الخط الخيار الثاني.
